Latest project in London - 7 Storey Jumped Core - See the speed (Jul 09)

Verteka complete the final level of the 7 storey lift / stair core  and the installation has been captured on video.

Verteka's latest project is located near Southwark tube, at Lavington Street. 

The core consists of 2 shear walls and a 'C' shaped module forming the stair core. The adjoining lift core is formed from  a single 4 sided module.

The typical installation was completed using less than 60 minutes of crane time – with the patented connection system allowing the shear walls to be safely positioned at height, without the need for propping or external access.

The project team is similar to that of Verteka's Bartholomew Road project completed in January 2009; Getjar, Mansell, Unite, with Waterman Group and Allied + Morrison.

The complete 6 storeys above the podium slab were completed in a fortnight.
